The Hydrocleys nymphoides, also called 'HN', is not yet well known in the aquarium world. Yet you see it appearing more and more often in aquariums thanks to generous fellow hobbyists. The plant easily produces offshoots, if you're lucky. The plant adapts to the height of the aquarium. Light and clay balls are very important for the HN. It is best to put a piece or 4 balls around the roots and put it full in the light. When there is a lack of light, the plant no longer produces floating leaves, but underwater leaves. The temperature should be between 23 and 29 degrees. When the water is cooler you can also expect flowers. The pH can vary from 5.5 to 7, the GH preferably not too high, a maximum of 6 approximately. The propagation takes place through long runners from which a new plant grows. A spur can grow up to 20 to 30 cm long.
