Still, to avoid unsightly and annoying scratches in the aquarium glass, you should always make sure that there is no gravel or sand between the cleaning pad and the glass. Before you use the Superclean Pad in your aquarium for the first time, wash it lightly with tap water –then it’s all systems go! Remember, you don’t have to dispose of your Superclean Pad after just one cleaning job – you can use it often! Just wash and wring out the dirty pad thoroughly under tap water a few times, then allow it to dry.
